On Saturday 22nd June 2019, The Kerry Ledger School of Dance hosted their Awards Evening at the William Gregg VC Leisure Centre in Heanor . The dance school based on Lord Haddon Road in Ilkeston showcased Classical Ballet and Pointe work, Contemporary, Tap, Modern, Street Dance, Acrobatics, Commercial Tap and Commercial Jazz, Musical Theatre, Drama and Singing with pupils age 3 years to Adult taking part.
The pupils were presented with Certificates from recent Dance Examinations with the Association of American Dancing.
400 people attended the event and £185.00 was raised by a raffle in aid of The British Lung Foundation.
Top achievers in Examination results were Charlotte Sisson in the Juniors and Sophie Lynam in the Seniors.
The Junior Shield was awarded to Sofia Lee, Intermediate Cup to Alexandra Reeves and the Doreen Yates Memorial Shield went to Matilda Rowland. The evening concluded with a family disco for all to enjoy.
