Death of Mrs Jessie Jolly
It is with great sorrow that the family of Jessie Jolly of Ilkeston have to announce her death, aged 95 on the 11th May. Mrs Jolly and her husband Ken worked at the Bath Street shop, making and selling Jolly’s Ice cream. They later moved to Lord Haddon Road to open the cash and carry which supplied many local businesses with their sweets, crisps and tobacco.
They enjoyed an active retirement playing bowls.
Mrs Jolly leaves behind 2 sons, 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her husband passed away in November 2014.
