Ilkeston Photo 2000 camera club was established, as it’s name suggests, in the year 2000.
We’re a medium sized club with 30+ members, welcoming all levels of photographers, from absolute beginners to those who exhibit at national level.
Our aim is to encourage and help photographers to improve their skills, in a friendly atmosphere, with informative talks and lectures, practical indoor and outdoor sessions and regular competitions, to enable all our members to get the most from their photography. We are always pleased to welcome new members and visitors to our club evenings.
Our meetings are held in the centre of Ilkeston, at the Shopmobility Centre on High Street. Our club season starts on the first Tuesday in September and ends in the middle of May. The meetings are held on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm.
We will be having a display stall at Ilkeston Carnival on the 8th June, where club members will be on hand to chat and answer any questions. We would be pleased to see and talk anyone interested in the club. We will have a range of our images on display during the day.
We are delighted to be running a free to enter photo competition, open to anyone over 18, with the results being announced on the day of the Carnival. The competition, to be judged by club members, does not have a specific theme, so any acceptable subject matter is welcome. No more than one image per person please.
There are prizes to the winning entries.
If you would like to enter this competition, please send your entry to [email protected]. The closing date for entries is 31st May 2019.
