The Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Chris Corbett, warmly invites local residents to join him at the annual Charity Civic Dinner on Saturday 2 March 2019.

The prestigious dinner is one of the major fundraising events in the civic calendar and residents and local businesses are once again invited to join the Mayor for the event, which this year will be held at the Pavilion Suite at the award-winning Morley Hayes Restaurant, Hotel and Golf Centre.

The evening will commence with a wine reception at 7.15pm with dinner being served at 8pm. It is hoped that the evening will provide guests with the opportunity to enjoy delicious food and good company in a relaxing environment.

Background music will be provided by the Nottinghamshire Harpist and musical interludes by James and Hannah Dennis.

Tickets are on sale now, with money raised going to the Mayor’s chosen charities – the Erewash Canal Preservation and Development Association and Erewash Community Action (Community Volunteer Service). A raffle will also be held to help raise money for the charities. The dress code is evening wear for ladies and dinner jackets or lounge suits for men.

The Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Chris Corbett, says:

“I’m really looking forward to welcoming guests to this year’s civic dinner which I’m sure will be a wonderful evening. It’s a lovely event to enjoy with residents, friends and family. This civic tradition is always extremely well supported and will help raise money for the well-deserving charities I hold dear.”

Tickets are £35 each for the four course meal, welcome drink and entertainment and are available from the Civic Office at Ilkeston Town Hall.  For more details, please contact Sue Dunkley, Civic Support Officer – email sue.dunkley@erewash.gov.uk or telephone 0115 9071115.
