Lollipop lady hurt

School children and parents were shocked when a lollipop lady was hit by a car.
The school crossing patrol worker, who works on the main road through Awsworth was involved in an incident outside Awsworth Primary and Nursery School on Monday 10th December) at about 3.40pm.
Notts Police are investigating the incident which caused delays on The Lane.
Awsworth Parish Council put out a statement saying they were very saddened and disappointed to hear that the Lollipop Lady was hit by a car whilst undertaking her duties helping others to cross the road.
Anyone who saw the collision or who has any information is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 534 of 10 December 2018.
