The attainment measures are the best the school has ever achieved, which is extremely pleasing. The average grade achieved by our students was a 5 (old Grade B) which is the highest ever achieved. Our Ebacc entry and standard and strong achievement figures are all strong. It is difficult to comment on our overall progress figure with great certainty at this stage but we do believe it will be a positive figure. One in four of every grade achieved was 7, 8 or 9 (old Grades *A and A) which is outstanding. Subject wise, English (best), Physics, Art, Dance, Media, RE, BTEC Business, Travel and Tourism, Music Technology and BTEC PE all performed extremely well.’
Headteacher Peter Monk commented: ‘I am extremely proud today of the achievements of students and staff alike as it is a team approach that has led to this success. It has been an extremely challenging year for our Year 11, not least because of the passing away, in tragic circumstances, of a much-loved member of the year group, James Turnbull, at the midpoint of the school year. They are a very special year group who have wanted to achieve the school’s best ever results as a fitting tribute to James.’
As always, there were some truly exceptional individual performances as follows:
Danielle White: 6 x 9s, 2 x 8s, 1 x 7 and an A*
Charlie Clarke: 5 x 9s, 2 x 8s 1 x 7 and 2 x 6s
Katie Baddiley: 4 x 9s, 4 x 8s and 2 x 7s
Rachel Gould: 4 x 9s, 3 x 8s, 1 x 7, 2 x As and 1 x B
David Hedley: 4 x 9s, 4 x 8s, 1 x 7 and 1 x 6
Jake Robbins: 4 x 9s, 3 x 8s, 3 x 7s and 1 x B
Elliott Gilbert: 3 x 9s, 4 x 8s, 2 x 7s and 1 x A
Henry Richards: 2 x 9s, 5 x 8s, 1 x 6 and 1 x A
Esme Moss: 2 x 9s, 5 x 8s, 2 x 7s and 1 x 6
Eleanor Dobson: 5 x 8s and 2 x 7s and 1 x A*

We congratulate all of our students on their success and look forward to welcoming many of them back into our Sixth form in September.
