Summer Sounds

The varied dulcet sounds of The Cherrys and tributes acts to Dean Martin, Rod Stewart and Take That will be heard across Victoria Park in Ilkeston next month when the Summer Sounds music extravaganza rolls into town.

Erewash Borough Council’s annual concert is always a big hit with young and old alike as they pack into the park to sing along and dance to all the top tunes.

This year’s event is on Sunday 22 July between 3pm and 7pm.There will be family entertainment, including various stalls, a circus skills workshop, stilt walkers and Jolly Jingles.

Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:

“This is a great opportunity for family and friends to get together enjoy the fresh air and listen to some truly fantastic free music in the lovely surroundings of Victoria Park.”

Revellers can take their own food for a picnic in the Green Flag park and there will also be food and refreshment outlets at the event. All activities may be subject to change. Admission is free.
