Councillor John Frudd presented a cheque for £1,000 to Alyssa Hill of Kirk Hallam Community Hall. The cheque from his Derbyshire County Council community initiatives pot is to help fund the Harvest Moon festival which takes place around Kirk Hallam Lake In September. The event has many stalls to keep residents entertained, plus a grand finale of a lantern parade.
Councillor Frudd commented: “I hope this year’s event is equally as successful as previous years. This is a great way for people to say goodbye to the long light days of summer, and embrace the shorter cooler days of autumn”.
