The sun once again shone on Springwood Riding Club’s showground in Horsley for its Supreme Open Show held on Sunday 3rd June, an extra special show this year as it is Springwood’s 50th Anniversary year.

As well as the highly contended Showing Classes, Showjumping, Dressage and Working Hunter and games classes, the Handy Pony classes proved popular with young and old alike – especially as it included a “Springwood Selfie” element. Springwood’s ethos is to encourage riders regardless of their age or ability, and this shone through along with the sun, all competitors went home happy, many with a converted sash for a 1st to 4th placing and the finale of the day was the competition for Supreme and Reserve of Show.
