Ilkeston Town FC are elected to the Premier Division of the Midland League despite not winning promotion.
The Robins, who finished second, have been elevated following a restructuring of lower leagues by the FA.
The club is delighted with the news and is looking forward to competing against stronger teams next season, including, a local derby with Long Eaton United. There would also have been a local derby with Heanor Town but they have taken a voluntary demotion to the league below due to financial problems.
