A picture paints a thousand words

Ilkeston Arts and Camera Club’s popular annual painting and photography exhibition opens at Erewash Museum on Tuesday 10 April.

The display, in the Lally Gallery, runs until Friday 4 May and showcases a whole range of work, including fine art painted in oils, acrylics, chalk pastels, watercolours and other media.

The club was formed in 1902 to encourage and develop the fine arts, such as painting, sketching and photography in Ilkeston. It holds a range of classes throughout the year and new members are always welcome.

Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:

“This is one of our popular annual exhibitions which we are delighted to host again for 2018. We know we will welcome lots of visitors, who will also be able to take the opportunity to discover all the other attractions on offer at our award winning museum.”
