Happy and honoured to say the Ilkeston Life Community Newspaper team was among the winners at this year’s Mayor’s Awards. Thank you to those who nominated us. It was a lovely evening in the company of so many super people who strive to make a difference in their community. We know from the stories in our paper that there are many special people in our area who should have been there too. People who put others before themselves and don’t seek any reward. Maybe next year they’ll be in the Mayor’s Parlour. As well as our ‘frontline’ team we would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of the paper – our regular writers, occasional correspondents, picture suppliers, deliverers, behind the scenes workers, fund-raisers, etc. We really appreciate your help.
