I write to inform you that the Rev’d Michael Pettit retired as Vicar of Saint Mary’s, Ilkeston at the end of April. The Diocese of Derby have appointed the Rev’d Carole Lloyd as Interim Part-Time Priest-in-Charge of Saint Mary’s to give support to the church whilst the process of finding a new fulltime appointment gets underway. Mrs Lloyd was licensed at Saint Mary’s at the morning service on Sunday 14th May by the Archdeacon of Derby.
I write on behalf of myself and Mr Peter Hodson, both churchwardens at Saint Mary’s. We, and the congregation of Saint Mary’s, are very pleased with this appointment and look forward to supporting Carole Lloyd as she ministers among us and in the wider community.
