County Councillor for Ilkeston West -Michelle Booth says, “Please Come and Join us for a Community Litter Pick this coming Saturday – that’s Saturday 25th February – meeting at the Childrens’ play park on Oak Apple Crescent, off the Spinney, we’ll meet up at 10am- all equipment is provided-come and see what we can all achieve in one hour.”
This regular litter pick arrangement has successfully cleared much of the Oakwell Brickyard site of previous years litter, debris and flytipping.
Pride In Erewash have thoroughly supported local residents and Councillor Michelle Booth in their endeavours to help restore this well-used thoroughfare into a delightful wildlife haven, used and appreciated by all age groups. It is used for either recreational walking or running or simply as a cut through to Derby Road.
Michelle adds, “The difference made to this open space has been amazing and has been incredibly rewarding for volunteers, please be assured of a warm welcome if you can spare one hour to join us this coming Saturday.”
