At the Erewash in Bloom Awards at Morley Hayes on Friday, 7th October, the Friends of Kirk Hallam Lake won First Joint Prize in the Best Street or Communal Area category, which carries on their success in the competition over the last few years. The Friends work hard improving the lake and area every Wednesday and Sunday morning (more volunteers welcome) and organize a very successful Lakeside Festival every July.
