Former Ilkeston Academy footballer Che Adams who signed for Sheffield United two years ago has now been bought by Birmingham City for a fee thought to be around £2 million.
This being the case, Ilkeston will receive £400,000, a 20 per cent share of the fee, as written into the deal at the time.
Ilkeston chief executive Nigel Harrop said: “This is massive for us.”
