A student at Kirk Hallam Community Academy came first in the British Schools Judo National Championships.
Mollie Mellors, of Ilkeston, competed in the category for competitors in academic years 8 and 9 at the event which was held at EIS in Sheffield.
The 14-year-old also won a bronze medal at the London Open at the weekend and last month she won gold at the Northern Home Counties competition in Essex.
