Erewash residents can enjoy a right royal knees-up to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday with a celebration Party in the Park on Sunday 12 June between 3pm and 7pm.
Erewash Borough Council has teamed up with Ilkeston Churches to host the birthday fun at Ilkeston’s Victoria Park when party-goers can take their own picnics, blankets and seating to enjoy music, memories and much more.
Live music will be provided by Johnny Victory and Ilkeston Brass Band, have-a-go bowls sessions will be on offer and there will be fascinating displays – including vehicles, objects and mementos to depict each decade of the Queen’s life.
There will be children’s activities and crafts and at around 6pm there will be a sing-along worship session with patriotic flag waving, before the 90th celebration closes with the National Anthem.
