Wartime songs, jitterbug swing and all things 1940s will once again be part of a vintage knees-up at Erewash Museum on Saturday 25 June, with the return of one of the most popular events in its calendar.

Leading the nostalgic entertainment will be the Festival Swing Dance Society, while visitors will be able to join in with classic wartime songs performed by Johnny Victory in the Museum gardens. There will also be a chance to try some 40s-style cookery, meet the heroes and heroines of the Home Front and view period vehicles and military displays.

The Friends of Erewash Museum volunteers will be at the newly-opened Old Stables Tea Room to offer wartime refreshments.

The event takes place from 10.30am and will finish with a remembrance ceremony in the Museum gardens from 3pm.

A small charge of £1.50 for adults will be made with entry for under 16s free.
