Erewash Museum is gearing up for one of its most popular annual events . . . when the exciting yearly motorcycle display rides into the gardens again on Saturday 14 May.

This year’s event has been dedicated to the memory of Ilkeston motorcycle enthusiast Steve Mellor, who died in December at the age of 57. Steve supported the museum for many years and will be sadly missed by the team.

The collection of motorcycles, both classic and new, is always a big hit with bike enthusiasts and families and the free event will be held between 12noon and 4pm. The Museum will be open as usual from 10am – 4pm and refreshments will be available by the Friends of Erewash Museum in the newly opened Old Stables Tea Room.

Erewash Museum is situated in Ilkeston Town centre, a short walk from the Market Place. Opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm, and Monday to Saturday during school holidays. Admission is free.
