Full time students can snap up a rolling £5 a week leisure membership throughout the summer break after Erewash Borough Council confirmed the health club offer is back by popular demand.

The weekly option starts on Saturday 1 May and will run until Friday 30 September in line with university summer term breaks.

The offer means students can make one-off payments of £5 for a one-week membership that gives them the use of the sports facilities at the council’s four leisure centres and no tie-in or sign-on fees.
There is also the option to take out a monthly membership at the special rate of £19 per month for full time students.

The option to ‘buy’ a week’s fitness pass whenever it suits during the holiday break has proved a big hit with students who see it as an affordable option and the perfect way to fit in with their summer schedule.

The all-inclusive membership features use of facilities that include gym, swimming, group exercise classes, sauna and steam suites, BODYPUMP TM, INSANITY TM, BODYBALANCE TM , the running track at Rutland Sports Park, and free programmes and goal setting sessions.

The £5 weekly membership is available direct from West Park Leisure Centre, Long Eaton, 0115 946 1400; Victoria Park Leisure Centre, Ilkeston, 0115 944 0400; Rutland Sports Park, Ilkeston, 0115 930 2033; and Sandiacre Friesland Sports Centre, 0115 949 0400.
