Meerkats, raccoons and skunks . . . just some of the furry friends that will be sharing cuddles with visitors to Erewash Museum’s free Autumn Fair on Saturday 26 September!

The award winning museum will host a menagerie of exotic animals courtesy of Oreo and Friends Animal Encounters, who will be the star attraction of the event between 11am and 3pm.

Wildlife fans will be able to meet and interact with the animals as well as find out more about them. The Friends of Erewash Museum will also be on hand to serve refreshments,

Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:
“There will be lots of animals never before seen at the museum . . . so whatever your age, if you love animals you will want to go along to this fabulous and free event.”

Erewash Museum is situated in Ilkeston town centre, a short walk from the Market Place. Opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm, and Monday to Saturday during school holidays. Admission is free.
