More than 50,000 forms are currently being delivered to homes across Erewash as part of the annual canvass to update the voting register.

Erewash Borough Council is urging residents to respond to the form by either confirming the details are correct or by making any necessary changes.

The Household Enquiry Forms are aimed at keeping the electoral register up to date and to ensure that everyone who is eligible to vote is on the register.

Residents can confirm their details are correct or make changes atwww.register-online.co.uk when they will need the 10 digit security code and password that is printed on their form.

Councillor Carol Hart, Erewash Borough Council’s Deputy Leader and Lead Member for Community Engagement, says:

“I am sure residents understand that we have to check the Register of Electors every year and we would appeal to everyone to take action as soon as they receive their form – please don’t put it to one side and forget about. We will be sending out reminders, but we would be grateful for a speedy response from residents.”
