Iron Man, Wonder Woman, X-Men. . . whichever is your favourite, Erewash Museum is offering the perfect opportunity to be a superhero for the day!

Erewash Museum’s summer holiday themed weeks are off to a smashing start from 27 July with Heroes and Villains week. Fly, take the Batmobile or, if you prefer, walk over to the museum between 11am and 3pm from 27-31 July for free crafts and activities.

Children are encouraged to dress up as their favourite superhero or villain and small prizes will be on offer for those attending in costume!

Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:

“Fans of superheroes and villains can enjoy themselves at Erewash Museum for the first of its themed weeks this summer. There’s a character within the comic book universe for everyone, so it’s the perfect opportunity to dress up and be a hero for the day!”

Anyone wanting more information can call in to the Museum or telephone 0115 907 1141 for more information. Residents can also check out the Facebook page –

Erewash Museum is just off the High Street in Ilkeston town centre, a short walk from the Market Place. Admission is free and it is open Monday to Saturday during school holidays between 10am-4pm.
