Ilkeston have signed Brazilian goalkeeper Evandro Rachoni de Lima.

He has worked with Ilkeston boss Gavin Strachan in the past. Besides playing for four Brazilian teams, De Lima has had experience with Peterborough Utd and Crawley Town. He says: “Gavin is a fantastic coach and I’m sure he’ll do a really good job here. I’m really pleased to work with him again and our aim is to win the league.”

De Lima’s first appearance in the Robins jersey could well be against his old club Peterborough in a friendly at the NMG on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
