Fourteen-year-old Joey Greener, a student at St John Houghton CVA, Kirk Hallam, surprised neighbours with an entertaining half hour of music from his driveway.
Joey accompanied himself on his guitar as he belted through several popular songs including Oasis’s Half the World Away.
His Dad David said the idea was just to cheer people up while they were having to stay at home because of the current situation.
Joey said, “It was a bit nerve wracking at first seeing all the neighbours coming out to listen.”
Not only neighbours were emerging but people from some distance away!
Joey went on: “That’s what made it for me – people were coming from surrounding streets as well, standing away from each other to keep the social distancing rule and enjoying my music. I loved it.”
