An Ilkeston couple celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary later this month.
Ann and Reginald Gregory met at the Miners Holiday Camp in Skegness in 1957. The following year Ann was voted the Ideal Holiday Girl.
They were married on the 30th of April in 1960 at the Roman Catholic Church on Nottingham Road, Ilkeston.
Reg worked at Cossall Colliery and served in the RAF. Ann looked after her sick mother.
They lived in Singapore for two and a half years before returning here to one of the coldest winters ever, February 1963.
