Coronavirus Support…

The leader of Erewash Borough Council has released a statement about how residents will be helped during the coronavirus pandemic.

Councillor Carol Hart, Leader of Erewash Borough Council, says:

“The safety and well-being of our communities is, of course, our top priority. We are doing everything in our power to support our residents and businesses in these unprecedented times.

“Our team is working to get the government’s recently-announced financial support for small business ratepayers and those struggling with Council Tax out to those who are eligible as soon as possible – and that will be very shortly now.

“We continue to work with our partners, particularly Derbyshire County Council, on all aspects of support during these challenging times.

“In addition, we will be confirming a small grants scheme in the next couple of days to give Corvid-19 projects that are supporting people in Erewash the chance to apply for funding.

“We know and understand the difficulties that many people are facing and I can assure all residents that everything that it is possible for us to do, will be done.

“We are doing our best to keep everyone informed and up-to-date through our social media and our website, where we have posted, and will continue to post, full details of support on offer and links to relevant government and NHS sites.”
