Walking A Mile in My Shoes was staged by Ladywood Junior School, Kirk Hallam on Friday 7th February. It was in aid of and promoting Children's Mental Health Week.
The money raised so far is approx £300 and it is to be shared between two charities, Place2Be and YoungMinds.
Despite the cold weather, walking eight laps of the playground was well supported by children and adults, including Erewash MP Maggie Throup. Indoor activities such as 'Beat it', an energetic exercise with drum sticks were also enjoyed.
Messages were placed on walls and shoes to encourage good mental health.
