Final Reminder For People To Attend Public Meeting For Ilkeston Carnival 2020 Tonight.
Members of the public are being reminded that The Friends Of Ilkeston Carnival will be holding an open public meeting tonight (26/11/19) to discuss plans and hear feedback regarding the relaunched carnival for 2020.
The open meeting begins at 7pm at The Lounge Public House located opposite Lloyds Bank – free car parking is available in all town centre car parks after 6pm.
The meeting will consist of news and updates regarding the carnival, an opportunity for the committee to introduce themselves again, feedback from the public, and a final call for volunteers to help with the operation of the carnival on the day.
The community group has been set up by volunteers who are working behind the scenes to bring the historic carnival back to life including moving the event to May 2020.
Come with your ideas.
We look forward to hearing all feedback from the folks of Ilkeston, and we are open to new and different approaches to our plans for 2020. Our last public meeting went well but the turnout was pretty low, so we are hoping for a good turnout tonight, We have said from day one that this is about our community and so we do encourage you all to come along to the Lounge at 7pm to hear our latest plans and have your say.
