Two local award winning make up artists paid a visit to Ladywood Care Home in Kirk Hallam. Bonnie Cara Beck of Bonnies Beauty Temple and Sam Cahill, 'Life of a beauty girl' based at KH Hair ilkeston made time to talk to residents, applying make up and turning a wet rainy morning into a room full of laughter and smiles. Some of the residents expressed how relaxing it felt and they looked like a million dollars. Both Bonnie and Sam definitely brought a bit of the community into our care home today, it was lovely to see ladies of different generations taking pride and interest regarding the changing face of make-up and fashion. – Alison Richards.
