Join in the hunt at Erewash Museum

This half-term, Wally, the famous children’s book character – wearing his distinctive red-and-white striped shirt and black-rimmed specs – will be travelling the country, appearing in museums, including a visit to Erewash Museum in Ilkeston.

Families will be able to join the search for Wally at the museum as part of the national Where’s Wally? The Big Museum Hunt.

The unique event will run from Tuesday October 22 – Saturday 2 November 2019 giving families the chance to receive an ‘I Found Wally!’ sticker at the end of the hunt and to enter the Where’s Wally? and Kids in Museums grand prize draw competition.

Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, Councillor Mike Wallis, said:

“This is a really fun way to spend time with the whole family during half term at Erewash Museum, Wally is a much loved character and it’s lovely for the museum to be taking part in this national museum hunt. Will you be able find him?”

Erewash Museum is in Ilkeston Town centre, a short walk from the Market Place. Opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm, and Monday to Saturday during school holidays. Admission is free. Contact 0115 907 1141, email museum@erewash.gov.uk or visit the Facebook page /erewashmuseum
