Shah Jahan closing
A popular Indian restaurant in Ilkeston is closing.
For the past 24 years it has been run by three brothers who now want to spend more time with their families.
The brothers, Saff, Shanny and Asif, took over from their father Abdul Aziz who ran the business for eight years before that.
The Shah Jahan restaurant on Awsworth Road is rated on Trip Advisor as ‘excellent’ by 61 per cent of users.
One of the brothers, Shanny said: "We'll be sad to see it go because we've got so many happy memories in Ilkeston. We're going to miss the people of Ilkeston because they made us feel so welcome. People have held all kinds of celebrations with us."
The property has been put on the market and when sold a final closing date, which is expected to be towards the end of the year, will be announced.
