For one day only . . . Erewash Museum promises a Stormtrooper of a day that will be a blast for anyone who loves Star Wars.
The museum has teamed up with East Midlands Garrison for the themed day on Saturday 31 August that will see a Jedi-load of activities and fun for all the family between 11am and 3pm.
There will be craft activities and a Star Wars activity trail, while lots of costumed characters will be there to meet visitors – Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Chewbacca and, of course, the Stormtroopers will be among the favourites.
Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:
“What an exciting day this will be, especially for children who will be thrilled with all the Star Wars activities. It’s a fun family day – as they say, ‘may the toys be with you’!”
Erewash Museum is in Ilkeston Town centre, a short walk from the Market Place. Opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm, and Monday to Saturday during school holidays.
