Before and after the makeover

The changing rooms at the Gallows Inn playing fields in Ilkeston have been given a clean new look thanks to a £37,000 project by Erewash Borough Council.

The recently-completed refurbishment included installing a new partition wall to provide an additional changing room, work to remove damp areas and new vinyl flooring throughout.

Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:

“This refurbishment was much needed and we are delighted to have completed all the work. I know those who use these changing rooms at the busy Gallows Inn playing fields will also welcome the redecoration.”

The changing rooms, which are off Nottingham Road in the town, have also been given a new internal ventilation system, new soffits and fascias and a complete redecoration inside and out.
