On Wednesday 24th July a cheque for £1,133.10 was presented to the Alzheimer’s Society on a very sunny Victoria Park.

After the success of the WWI knitted poppy project last year, The Friends of Victoria Park and The Old Black Horse Knit & Natter decided to put their knit & crochet skills to good use again, by selling forget-me-not brooches in and around Erewash.

The response was wonderful and brought much needed attention to a group of extremely distressing conditions.

They would like to thank everyone who got involved for their hard work and generosity.

Pictured is Olly Larkin, Community Fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Society with Rachael Spence of Friends of Victoria Park. Also Richard Windsor, Pride in Erewash Co-ordinator and Debbie Stayte, Community Ranger with the ladies of Victoria Park Well-Being Group.
