On Wednesday 24th July a cheque for £1,133.10 was presented to the Alzheimer’s Society on a very sunny Victoria Park.

After the success of the WWI knitted poppy project last year, The Friends of Victoria Park and The Old Black Horse Knit & Natter decided to put their knit & crochet skills to good use again, by selling forget-me-not brooches in and around Erewash.

The response was wonderful and brought much needed attention to a group of extremely distressing conditions.

They would like to thank everyone who got involved for their hard work and generosity.
