Nottingham Northern open meet Sunday Sunday 30th June.
A group of 22 Ilkeston Swimming Club swimmers (from Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire) attended the 1 day open meet last weekend at the HARVEY HADDEN LEISURE CENTRE NOTTINGHAM didn’t disappoint with another 76% PB rate and some very impressive swims even combined with a swim off to reach a final.
Stats for the meet are
32 finals, 18 trophies won, 9 medals won, 4th top team out of 19 teams , McKinley Cotton 9th top girl and Fred Buckingham 4th top boy overhaul, very impressive stats for 22 swimmers.
Medal winners were
Fred Buckingham Gold 50 breast, Silver 50 free Gold 100im (Individual Medaly)
McKinley Cotton Silver 50 back, Silver 50 free, Silver 50 fly. Silver 100 im
Erin Pickard Bronze 50 back
Erica Beharall Bronze 50 free.
16 Ilkeston swimmers finished in the top 6 and also received a trophy.
There where some amazing swims some of the highlights were Arwen Moore did a swim off to get in the final on 50 fly and it a 33.
Erica Beharall swam her first 29 in the 50 free .
Fred Buckingham getting a 35 seconds on 50 breast and 28 seconds on his 50 free.
A big well done to all swimmers who took part and did Ilkeston proud.
