Kirk Hallam tragedy update

Police, paramedics and a fire engine sped to a serious incident in Kirk Hallam this morning People waiting for the foodbank to open at Big Kirk Hallam Community Hall on Kenilworth Drive where hit by a van. Some of the casualties are in a serious condition.
A spokeswoman for Derbyshire police said: “We were called to reports of a collision between a van and a number of people outside Kirk Hallam Community Hall in Kenilworth Drive, Kirk Hallam at 9am this morning.
“Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service were also in attendance, and three people were treated for injuries at the scene, two are described as having serious but not life-threatening injuries and one minor.
“An investigation is in its early stages and enquiries are ongoing.
“If you were in the area at the time or have any information, please contact us quoting reference number 265 of July 5.”
