From chronic fatigue to athletic achievement

Julia Hind has successfully completed the Derby half-marathon raising money for Fibromyalgia UK.

Julia suffers with the condition herself and at one time could not run a hundred yards without stopping for a rest. Now she has run 13.1 miles and raised over £300 for the charity.

She reached the finishing line on Sunday with support from fellow members of Smalley Road Runners.

She said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to Jacqui Saunders, Ken Glenn and Lynne Luxford for running along side me the whole time and also a big thank you to all the Smalley Road Runners for their continued support. Thanks also to all those who sponsored me. I have raised an amazing £310.50 for my charity.
