From Life in the Garden to Life on Stage…

✨🌟SPOTLIGHT🌟✨

STEVE WALTON as PRINCE JOHN/SPIRIT
My profession is in Horticulture and I am a landscape gardener maintaining a wide range of gardens. I also write and talk about gardening in local newspapers and on Erewash Sound radio.
I joined Ilkeston Theatre Company in autumn 2014 where my first role was Buttons in Cinderella which was such a wonderful part to play. Since then I have gone on to be involved with many productions playing parts such as Jonathan Harker, Mr Darling and Jacob Marley. My most favourite part I have played is one of the seven dwarves in Snow White where we were all on our knees to play the part it was brilliant fun! Leading up to the shows I get involved with working on the stage building the set’s, making props and learning new skills and for the past couple of year’s I have been a general member on the committee.
Away from the theatre company I am a keen photographer, enjoy walking and all my horticultural commitments keep me busy through out the year. Since joining Ilkeston Theatre Company I have made many new friendships and it is a pleasure to be part of such a wonderful group.
