Manager McIntosh leaves Ilkeston Town FC following shock FA Vase defeat.

Ilkeston Town have parted company with manager Martin McIntosh. He was in charge for just three months following Steve Chettle’s ‘step up’ to Notts County.

Both Ilkeston and Notts County are owned by Alan Hardy.and when Notts were struggling Chetts was commandeered by the Div. 2 side.

McIntosh’s leaving is said to be by mutual consent..

Craig Swinscoe and Martin Lench are in charge of the first team for the time being while assistant manager Ian Deakin recovers from a knee operation.

Ilkeston fans’ dream of a Wembley appearance in the FA Vase was shattered by local rivals Eastwood. Ilkeston dominated the game but Eastwood took their chances and won 2-1.
