Councillor John Frudd and a resident visited Trent Barton buses at their Langley Mill depot recently. The purpose of the visit was to protest at a decision by them to cut the service 21 from every half hour to every hour, by way of presenting them with a petition signed by local people. Councillor Frudd commented ‘ there are two distinct issues here, one is that elderly and disabled people find it very difficult to access the main shops on Queen Elizabeth way from the north side of the estate. The other is the fact that many Kirk Hallam people rely on this one service to get them to Nottingham where many of them work, and also to the Queens Medical Centre. It is the only bus that goes directly to these places from Kirk Hallam.
