In our October issue we featured Mrs Frances Morrison on a visit to Ilkeston’s twin town Chalons- en- Champagne.
Since then a copy of the paper has found its way to France and to Pascal Perin who is chair of the French twinning committee.
He has sent us this picture of himself in Ilkeston in 2016. He tells us the next exchange will be in Easter 2019 when a group of Ilkestonians will visit the French city.
When first twinned Chalons was called Chalons-sur- Marne. It changed its name to Chalons-en-Champagne in 1998.
