Children’s Pumpkin Walk returns to Treetops

On Saturday 27 October, children of all ages and their families are welcomed to Treetops Hospice Care Pumpkin Walk for an afternoon of Halloween fun.

With a pumpkin treasure hunt in the woods, apple-bobbing, and face painting, there’s plenty to keep little ones entertained – and help support your local hospice at the same time.

Treetops provides nursing care and emotional support for adults and their families living in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Last year, the charity supported over 1700 people through their range of services provided free of charge.

This is the second Halloween event for the hospice as senior community and event fundraiser, Mary Rose, explained:

“Last year’s Pumpkin Walk was really popular and a lovely event for children of all ages.

“Children and families are invited to make their way along our woodland walkway which is all lit up with lanterns, find a pumpkin and bring it back to us for a prize.

“There may even be a few surprises lurking about in our grounds but all in the name of fun – nothing too scary!

“All the proceeds from the event go towards Treetops so we can continue to provide our services to local people free of charge. Please come along with your family and friends for a lovely fun afternoon!”

The Pumpkin Walk runs from 5-7pm. Entry is £4 per child, free for adults. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The event has been kindly supported by Ink Financial Management Ltd.

Treetops Hospice Care services include Support and Information, a Day Care Unit, Hospice at Home nurses and Therapeutic Services including counselling, art therapy and complementary therapy.
