Exciting new things are happening at
Somercotes Salvation Army!
On Thursday 13th September from 9.30am to 11.00am a group called ‘Sing and Play’ will be commencing. This will take place every Thursday during school time and is for children aged 0 – 2 years old with parents and carers.
On Friday 14th September from 2.00pm – 3.00pm ‘Singing by Heart’ will be commencing. This group is for people who have Dementia and their carers but is also open to anybody that perhaps is living on their own and would like to join us for a time of singing and fellowship. This activity will take place every second Friday in the month. It is well known that singing often unlocks the memory and brings happiness in recollection.
