The brand new Ilkeston Town team played together for the first time the other night and beat Underwood Villa 4-0 away. Although the result wasn’t too important, the new managerial team of Steve Chettle and Ian Deakin must have been pleased to see all the new faces do so well.
Further friendlies will take place on Friday v Clifton away and Tues 1st August v a Notts County team at Basford Utd’s ground
First Midland League Div 1 match is the following Saturday 5th August v Uttoxeter Town away. First home match is the following Saturday at the NMG v Heath Hayes.
