Erewash Museum has unveiled its new gift and souvenir shop following a makeover to give it a modern new look and an expanded range of goods on offers for visitors.

The shop now stocks a range of jewellery, scarves, heritage toys and games as well as a larger selection of artist Steve Millership’s popular Ilkeston prints. The Steve Millership range also now includes keyrings, magnets, coasters cushions and tea towels.

Refurbishment work was funded by the Friends of the Museum and the shop is open every day alongside normal museum opening hours.

Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:

“This is a great addition to the ever expanding attractions and facilities on offer at our award winning museum. Visitors love our museum for all its exhibitions and events throughout the year – and now this gift shop together with the popular tearoom makes the experience even better.”

Erewash Museum is situated in Ilkeston Town centre, a short walk from the Market Place. Opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm, and Monday to Saturday during school holidays. Admission is free.
