High court winds up Ilkeston FC

Ilkeston FC is sunk seven years after its predecessor Ilkeston Town FC met a similar fate.

The in debt club was wound up in the High Court today and placed into liquidation. Smith Cooper have been appointed to deal with the business and assets of the club.

The Robins, who were relegated after a troubled campaign last season, were then thrown out of the Evo-Stick League altogether.

Ilkeston FC Supporters Group are already making plans to form a new community team to play at the New Manor Ground, but the chances are it won’t be in the coming season.
