ILKESTON CARNIVAL HAS BEEN CANCELLED

A colourful parade, music, dance and lots of family fun . . . it must be carnival time in Ilkeston again!

This year’s 27th Ilkeston Lions Carnival takes place on Saturday 10 June with the traditional parade of floats leaving Belfield Street at 12.30pm and travelling up Bath Street, through the Market Place and down to the Rutland Recreation Ground.

Organised by Ilkeston Lions Club, the annual event is always a great family day out as onlookers watch the parade and then enjoy the entertainment at the carnival showground.

The carnival site will be open from 12noon and features lots of stalls and things to do and a whole range of family entertainment in the arena including a fun dog show and a bonnets baby show. Tug o’ war teams if five are also needed, with a cash prize on offer for the winners.
