Morrisons Ilkeston on Nottingham Road, Ilkeston, launched its annual Christmas Toy Appeal on 5th December to collect gifts for the less fortunate children in the area.

The store is encouraging customers to donate a new toy in their special ‘donation stations’ this Christmas, which will be placed at the front of the store by the Customer Service Desk. Customers can donate either a toy they buy during the shopping trip to Morrisons, or a new toy they’ve bought elsewhere.

The appeal is being run by the Morrisons Ilkeston Community Champions Tracy Davidson and Fay Stainsby who will distributing the toys to local good causes for children, including Rainbows Hospice.

Tracy Davidson, the store’s Community Champion said “Our customers have been amazing with their donations in previous years and we’re hoping to collect even more this Christmas.”

350 Morrisons stores across the country will be taking part in the appeal
